I may join this ride at 29 and 22 then split off and do a real nice loop that hits forks of the credit then comes back through erin. There's ~1-2km of gravel where you turn onto 50 going west. Given that it's the Sunday of the long weekend, this is a slightly shorter route of around 80 km that takes us to Erin - where we will be stop at the fantastic bakery - and back. It does feature a bit of climbing.

A number of the faster club riders are either racing, doing Gran Fondos or otherwise occupied so this might be a good day for those looking to try a longer group ride.

Departure time is 9 a.m. from the Bean at Grange and Victoria.

Entertaining a group of Italians at the cottage this weekend, and one suddenly mentioned that he is nuts about road riding. Comes from near the region of the Stelvio, so he knows what fine riding is all about. Anyone who could lend (meaning rent) a decent bike for Friday to Monday? I will be totally responsible for returning it in the same or better condition. Contact jimwadleigh@rogers.com if you can do the deed or have a lead.

The blue First Line sign is well off the intersection and its a short distance coming out of the turn leading up to it so it should provide plenty of time to slow down and stop but then again I wont be doing 60.

Nice route, good and compact.
Couple of suggestions though:
- there's a KOM on 4th line you could add in
- i'd remove the First Line (blue sign on 25) sprint, we shouldn't start introducing those. that basically means people are sprinting through an intersection (i know we have the right of way there), but you never know if a motorist will pull out in front. easier to stop doing 30kph rather than 60.
